Classix on CD is our shop in Stellenbosch, South Africa. You will find us in a
quiet street, shaded by giant oak trees and filled with sidewalk coffee shops

Pictured on the top this page is the shop. We have our own giant oak tree
on our front door. As a specialist music shop specialising in African Music, World Music, Classical, Blues, Jazz, Electronica, Rock, Afrikaans and Instrumental, we enjoy loyal and dedicated support from people living in Stellenbosch. The shop is a destination business, but due to our positioning, an ever-increasing tourist market are also finding us. Our interest in promoting South African music has led us to record, produce and distribute Stellenbosch musical talent as well as selling independantly produced work by a number of local musicians who have also become our clients.
We would like to introduce ourselves :
Kingsley & Margueritte Reed started Classix on CD in 1993. This being a life-long dream of Kingsley's who has always been an avid record collector consisting of everything from Jimi Hendrix to Glazunov. There is nothing more exciting than working with music on a daily basis.
Margueritte does all the Administrative work with the help of Sheila (our bookkeeper). She is also the proud web administrator. Both Margueritte and Sheila work from home, surrounded by 7 cats, 3 dogs, a marine aquariam and various other animals.
Charles, THE man in the shop, joined Classix after graduating from the Conserve, Stellenbosch University. He is a hot-shot violinist who formed his own quartet called Quartet Q.
